2023 Nissan Pathfinder
The three-row Nissan Pathfinder received a significant redesign for the 2023 model year. It still has its strong engine and towing capabilities, but it has a new look with a sleek exterior design, a new intelligent four-wheel-drive system, seating for up to eight, and some updated advanced technology features. The 2023 Pathfinder also comes with added standard safety technology and new captain's chairs for the second row. Here's a quick look at the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The entry-level Pathfinder S has 18-inch wheels, LED headlights, and proximity entry. The SV adds to this with heated side exterior mirrors and the option for the SV Premium Package, with a panoramic sunroof and power liftgate. Step up to the SL to make the power liftgate standard and add the option for the SL Premium Package, with 20-inch wheels and the panoramic sunroof. At the top of the Pathfinder lineup, the Platinum comes with the sunroof and 20-inch wheels, and it adds power-folding side mirrors and a hands-free power liftgate.
Engine (Power)
All the 2023 Pathfinders come with a 3.5-liter V-6 gas engine with 284 horsepower. It gets an all-new nine-speed automatic transmission that provides smooth and consistent delivery of the right gear when you need it. Front-wheel drive is the standard drivetrain, but a new all-wheel-drive system is optional.
Performance
The new transmission helps provide the Pathfinder with better fuel economy and makes this SUV feel more comfortable on the road. The strong V-6 and the nine-speed transmission provide quick and strong acceleration and give the driver confidence no matter what conditions they drive through. The new all-wheel-drive system features a seven-position Drive and Terrain Mode Selector with modes for Tow, Eco, Snow, Mud, and Sand.
Interior
The 2023 Pathfinder's cabin features new, upgraded materials and a modern look. Eight-passenger seating comes standard, but you now have the option for captain's chairs for the first time. A 10-way power-adjustable driver's seat is available, and you can also get climate-controlled front seats, tri-zone automatic climate control, and heated rear seats. Heated front seats comes in the SV, which also has a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and you'll get leather upholstery in the SL and Platinum.
Nissan upgraded the technology in the Pathfinder with a newly available 12.3-inch digital dashboard and an available 9-inch touch screen that sits up high on the dash and comes with integrated navigation. A 13-speaker Bose stereo comes with the SL Premium Package and the Platinum, and you can also add extra USB ports.
Safety Features
Every 2023 Pathfinder comes with Nissan Safety Shield 360, which features a blind-spot monitor, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and high beam assist. This bundle also includes rear automatic braking and intelligent forward collision warning. Another new feature for the 2023 Pathfinder is the option for ProPILOT Assist, Nissan's hands-on driver-assist system. This system combines steering assist with adaptive cruise control to help the driver control acceleration, steering, and braking when driving in heavy traffic and on the open highway.
